Working in a UK hospital for the first time is a daunting task for a junior doctor who received training in Pakistan. This is one reason why more oversees doctors get into difficulty as they do not understand the system and their responsibilities. APPS facilitates this transition by conducting a one day course and educating them about do and dont?s of the system. The NHS used to run similar courses in the past but due to funding issues it was withdrawn 4-5 years ago.
